What would happen if...

Parker goes back 7 days. Time carries on after that, 7 days. Then, he goes back again, 7 days, but like, an hour after exactly 7 days, so he lands on the same day but an hour later. With me? I think i'm losing myself here... anyway, Parker in the past would have already gone back in time before the now Parker arrived in the past, so there would be a Parker in the past as well...

no, forget it, it doesn't make any sense.

I think it does

what I reckon though is that he would have already changed the future, so the past he goes back to would be different thus no parker who is already there

I think ???

I don't think we were meant to discuss this in so much detail, but I think the ideas are great. I love to try and get my head around Time travel. I recommend a book by David Gerrold called "The Man who Folded himself".

there are a few eppys where he goes back to the same point over and over til he gets it right, and he never bumps into himself from the previous backstep....

Yeah that's a good point...

Brings us back to the 'would you see yourself in the past if you went back in time?' question, which Parker doesn't seem to do

I don't really know what I'm talking about here, but...

Isn't it to do with the same matter not being able to exist in different places/ or the same place at the same time?

If there are millions of parallel universes all co-existing in the same time, and you just hop between them i.e. Sliders then it doesn't matter, you can meet yourself, they do it all the time.

I remember another show or a film (it may have been 'Timecop') where the character had to avoid meeting himself, otherwise they would mutually disintegrate.

Dr Who was always meeting different versions of himself, without any serious problems.
