| Re: Football (Soccer to those across the pond) HT: Burnley 0 - 1 Blackburn
Mike Dean you son of a... with eyesight like that, I'm surprised he feels comfortable crossing the street.
Olsson dives in the box, not touched by anyone, and the penalty is given. Blackburn score, and we're trailing. I'd be less angry if they'd scored properly, but with help from the 12th man? F- that.
Even better than that, we should have had a penalty - Samba took Elliot out at the other end, but Mike Dean gave a free kick outside the box. Samba's knee caught Elliot inside the box and, because of that, it's apparently a foul in the box (words of three pundits - not a rule I've heard of, tbh), and thus a penalty.
What's really confusing is that having given a penalty, Jensen or Mears should have been sent off for stopping a goal-scoring chance, but neither were booked, yet at the other end, no penalty was given but Samba was given a yellow. Srsly? What is he playing at...
Not happy at all. I'd hate to be the police on duty today.
EDIT: Super. Fantastic. Absolutely -ing wonderful! The Blackburn keeper clearly handles the ball outside the box, and what does Mike Dean do? Pretty obvious, really - absolutely nothing. Fire is too good for him.
