i don't think there's a thread about this going on. i just watched judging amy last night and who was a lawyer but armin shimerman aka quark aka anteus of the nox.
i'm working my way through an eps of 7 days and narim is a bad guy on it(he is a good slime ball by the way)
and if the promo is right tony amondala aka bratac will be on this friday's eps of csi on cbs (which is a really good show by the way)
anyone else know of other sg stars, guest stars that are popping up on various shows?

arr. so many...

Hammond... this one is funny.. have you seen Con Air? When they chuck the body out of the plane he is the dotty old man driving the car whose windscreen the body lands on. So undignifying role

Then MS has appeared on a few outer limits episodes i have seen. (i saw kira neires in one a few days ago, it took me about a day to work out who is was.. without the nose thing i couldn't tell!).

Then of course ..oops name forgot. is Rev Bem in andromeda

and sarah has been on 7 days in the past few weeks, with a russian/croatian accent no less.
kinsey was on a wednesday night movie as the patty duke's husband and they got pregnant late in life(like the basis was a retirement age couple suddenly becoming a family) now that brings up some bad mental images i gotta tell you

dr warner was on an eps of outer limits...he got killed in the end

I've seen both Armin Selig (is that his name? - the reporter in Secrets) and Teryl Rothery in the X-files. I don't know what ep, 'cos i was in Belgium when i saw T.R. She was a nurse who had been attacked by a ghost on drugs or something. Armin ... can't really remember ... (I've been brainwashed by the US government!) but i think he was hired to kill someone, by smoking-cigarette guy. It was the new series that was just/is on Sky1...
I think they both survived...

Maybe my eyes would be better if they glowed...

Do you know if the Outer Limits was b4 or after Stargate? Or, if you've seen it, before or after Divide and Conquer?

well time wise, the outer limits eps was one from this year, so one that should be showing up in syndication next season(this sept)
i think it aired after divide and conquer but, well marty's such a rarely recurring character it'd be incredibly easy for him to do other things.
it's not like micheal shanks for instance who, if he decides to do something else during stargate's shooting time, has to arrange to be absent from the set for several days.

it's doable, just takes some juggling. i mean look at the end of season 3. he was in the hospital for i think several days because of his appendix, plus time to recover and other than a few scenes getting rewritten in nemesis, no one really would have known he was gone.

it's the same way with this season cause i think there's an eps that's daniel-light so he could have time to prepare to direct double jeopardy

Oh, so in Nemesis, he actually had appendix problems? I wondered why he was only in about 2 seconds. It was quite a funny scene, though, in the beginning, between him and Jack. <- thats me laughing, not Daniel flinching in pain!

yeah it was for real. the actor missed a week or two of shooting because he was in the hospital.
rumor has it it was daniel jack was supposed to be harassing to go fishing and that it was supposed to be daniel and jack in the hall after teal'c almost suffocates.

Geez, (what am I doing saying that?) I mean, (posh, strong English accent) 'Oh my golly gosh! Indeed?!
(OK, lose the accent!) So you know any other times that the actors had to have a minor part because of personal stuff? I heard that in Matter of Time, MS went to see his 'wife' (Vaitiare Bandera) give birth or something? You think that's true? And i don't suppose you know why Daniel was such a minor in The Enemy Within? That episode was just mean! He was in like 2 seconds!

i don't know why for all of them but in some cases if an actor is in a busy eps the one before or after it will be an easy one.
take serpents vemon for example, it had to be very difficult for cj to go through his torture scenes so he really didn't play that big a part in the curse...remember the tng eps where data played three roles, himself, noonian soong(whatever) and lore...the eps right before and after it was very data-light.
i'm not sure but i think at may have played a bit smaller part in enemy within than she originally was cause the actress accidentally got a concussion when kowalski tossed her against the elevator wall.
also using the curse and tangent as an example...jack and teal'c probably filmed their glider scenes days apart from the control room scenes...the actors may have went days without seeing each other cause it may have been filmed on different sound stages.
and with both cj and rda having such tiny parts in the curse, it gave them some time off or it enabled them to film two eps almost simultanously.

Cool Teryl Rothery

Hi, just reading through the different threads, came across your discussion. Better late than never Teryl Rothery appeared in X-Files episode 'Excelceus Dei' and her character was called 'Michelle Charters'. Just thought I'd let you know if anyone was still interested. I am an X-Files fan and thought Teryl was pretty good in this episode.
