John de Lancie, infamous as Q in Star Trek, will be making his appearance in Andromeda this month as. The episode is called "The Pearls That Were His Eyes" and will air on January 22 2001 in the US. In the episode Beka Valentine (Lisa Ryder) receives a distress call from her beloved Uncle Sid (played by de Lancie), but it is delivered two years too late. She sets out with Trance (Laura Bertram) to find him, and not only finds him alright, but highly successful too. However Uncle Sid has some secrets that could prove deadly for Andromeda`s first officer.

The episode is quite good, and delves into a more seedier, darker world. John de Lancie gives a good performance as always, and although unmistakebly de Lancie, he still distances himself well from the role of Q. The episode leaves it clearly open for his return, and considering Andromeda ratings success, I would imagine that`s a certainty.

i seen this epi too, it was good, i really like
the actor john de lancie. i loved him as Q he was
so full of mischief...peachy

you just new from the start he was going to be up to something bad because of who he is as an actor!

"Pearls" is my all-time favorite episode. I like Uncle Sid!!! He's so evil!!!

Haven't been in hear in a while. Q was one of the best characters on TNG, I hope de Lancie is a reoccuring character on Andromeda. Anybody heard any rumors?

I have no idea, I usually dont follow the news. Maybe I should, then I'd be less shocked when stuff does happen :rain:
