| Here is a list of the suggestions for March's Book Club discussion. I am sure there are many others out there waiting to be suggested but we've got many other months to include them in so since I've got a good list here I'll put it up for a vote. If you are not familiar with the work check it out at http://www.amazon.com to see what it is about and whether it apeals or not. |

| Re: Choose March's Book We have a four-way tie. Those who haven't voted please do so to end the deadlock. Otherwise, all-powerful moi will have to arbitrarily choose our book. Now we wouldn't want that would we? <insert insane laughter here, a la Vincent Price> Rock the Vote! Er, that doesn't work does it? How about Read the Vote! Better but silly. Oh well, just vote please? Danke. |

| Re: Choose March's Book Ok guys. Slight glitch. The leader in the vote, Dick's The Man in the High Castle isn't carried by any of my local libraries (that's two separate counties, six different libraries!). So, I'm going to suggest we hold that title over until April's discussion so that the financially challenged of us can work on finding a copy of it. Thus I'd post a new poll without that title and let the others duke it out for March. What do you think? |

| Knivesout no more | Re: Choose March's Book Oho. I guess we can hold the PKD over till next month? Not to sound selfish, but that really is one I'd like to discuss! The Left Hand of Darkness, and McMurphy's other ideas are good too, but I guess we can consider them next month? Anyway, the voting process is looking to be as exciting as the discussions! |

| Re: Choose March's Book I have read a cantical for leibowitz. it's really good and displays how people's reputations change over time and how an ordinary person can become the stuff of legend. It's well written and very interesting. It's also quite short and easy to read (hint hint) |

| Re: Choose March's Book We will be revoting - I'll post up a new poll today. Actually the first two books on this list are fantasy, and the third is half and half so this list is pretty representative of both genres. I haven't yet decided whether The Chosen is either one yet, it is mostly a fantasy but may also have sci fi elements as well - part of an eventual discussion maybe? |

Sometimes we just get set in our ways and just don't move to other genres or authors because of whatever reason, maybe we're comfortable with those, I don't know. Recently this happened to me as I picked up the only book available to me at the time, it wasn't something I normally would read but I was desperate so I read it and really enjoyed it and have read a few similar books because of that. | |
