Wink

I was about to give up on watching buffy, but then Glory entered the scene wow! "I'm beautiful. I'm powerful. And when I enter a room all eyes turn to me because my name is a holy word." And even though she is supposed to old as primordial goop, she plays the hollywood girl cliche to the hilt. I just love it. Though they could have dropped the whole brother-sent-brain-sucking episode, and did more Glory. Perhaps even get her to kill off riley and that whole vampire fetish thing that he is on. Yes that's right, I cheered when that helicopter took off with him.
Enough rambling for now. More Glory Dang it!

I actually think Glory is hurting the show. Evere ep this year she has been in hasn't been that intresting and the the non-arc episodes are the one's that have been the best.

The Golden One known as Glory bad for the show, I just don't see that. She's a complete departure from the ambush- from-the-shadows/kidnapp-a-friend villian that is the typical fare. And the fight scene bewteen Glory & Buffy when Glory was converting a snake into a monster was one of the best I've seen. I hope that Glory continues to inject humor into a storyline that is bogged down in angst.

The actress is horrible though. She is even weaker than the guy playing Adam last year. PLus there is trend you may have notice but the more powerful the villian the lest intresting the character usually is. Spike was just your average vampire abit one who is more skilled than most and the mayor felt like your friendly next door neighbor. They kicked but. Harmony is fun because she is incompetent. Faith was a sort of anti-Buffy and Angellus had a his past with Buffy and also a sly sense of Humor. Glory seems just a valley girl but as we see in Harmony is difficult to take such a character serious or fear them. Also Buffy has been beat in a fight before so her get slammed around by GLory when they first meet just isn't as intresting or representive of why we should respect Glory even though the writers did that scene for that exact reason.

A horrible actress? I can see that if she was just merely saying lines, but she is acting them out. The same as the lady who plays Anya (who is my favorite of the regulars), just saying the lines is not enough for her character.
And unlike most villians, taking out Buffy is a secondary consideration for her. I will agree that Spike is quite the interesting fellow, but that is only because screen time has been devoted to fleshing out (no pun intented) the character. And he also happens to be a good actor. The character of Harmony, if I had to type her, would be that of valley girl. Gloy's is more of a super charged version of a hollywood starlet. And Glory has kicked Buffy's butt every time that they have fought. And she made a purchase from Niles, how many villians have done that?
Personally I think Glory is the best thing that happened to that show, but of course it is possible that I'm the only person in the world to think so. And I've got no problem with that.

Actually I'm not even sure if Glory will be the Big bad this year. My bet is soon as she opens the portal she will be replaced buy whatever it is that is inside. My preference would be it to be a evil Buffy from a alternate universe were Dawn is from or a real kicker would be the Mayor and Glory could have been his wife long time ago. I do admit Glory does have some potential. Even Adam was good in the final ep but we need to start seeing her putting her plan into action because the portal storyline is dragging on it seems to have replaced what we should have been focusing on and that is Buffy's darker side hinted at in "Restless" One more faint praise I will give Glory or the writers I supose is that there at least not writing her or she is not acting all crazy like she did in her first ep. I swear she must have been channeling William Shatner at times in that ep lol

Personally, I think they haven't continued on with Glory-Dawn-is-the-portal storyline is because:
A)They have to decide if they want to keep Dawn on or have her get enough "humanity" that she basically off's herself to save the world.
B)They decide to keep her on as Buffy's sister even though by now even Dawn realizes she was created. The thing would be to get rid of the power but keep the girl.

She maybe the next Slayer?

I think Dawn will be here to stay but I bet Joyce dies and next year Buffy becomes a sort of mother to Dawn. Some I suspect Dawn to be the real big bad and be this years Angel,Faith who goes bad during the middle of the year. I have my doubts since she is only 14 years old and would be harder than even Glory for us to respect as a villian though there is some comic MAylor like comic sensibility Dawn could have as the villian. Only on Buffy could the hero and villian have to share the same bathroom and live in the same house lol and be typical teenage sisters.
