yeah i got no idea what y'all are rambling on about

umm, sam:
has a brother mark who is married with two kids in san diego, boy and girl, mom is dead, killed in a car wreck and dad and her didn't get along well until he was dying and she got him blended with selmac.
has or had an uncle irving who reminded her of urgo(now that's gonna be fun at family gatherings)
wanted to get into nasa so joined the air force, perhaps to help her get there but the challenger disaster changed that.
logged over 100 hours in enemy airspace in the gulf war(never seen wings so i don't think she was a pilot)
spent two years at the pentagon trying to get the gate to work before daniel got it, feels she should have gone to abydos but didn't for some undisclosed reason.
spent the year between abydos and cotg working on alternative applications for the gate, including time travel.
has/had a cat named schroedinger for that scientist guy but gave the kitty to narim.
had level 3 advanced self defense
was engaged to jonus hansen but broke it off cause he liked control
can pick locks(wonder where she picked that up from?) and must like motorcycles.
got blended with jolinar and now has some of the tok'ra's memories. also has naquadah in her blood which allows her to sense other goa'uld and jol. left behind a protein marker which changed her blood chemistry somewhat.

And when wearing an arm device from the Ancients, she can eat four rare steaks, french fries and a diet coke at one sitting, shoot a mean game of pool, jump a 30 foot fence, run in and out of the SG without being seen, write a book on wormhole physics in under two hours,take on 1/3 of the Jaffa guarding their stargate, help destroy Apophis' new mothership, and beat up her share of the guys at the pool game who picked a fight.

Hammond was not pleased: "I thought those hand devices were supposed to increase their abilities, not make them stupid!!!"

As a result of her blending with Jolinar, can use Goa'uld technology (ribbon device and healing device).

Has ambiguous feelings about shoooting people (not a bad thing):
-- Could not bring herself to shoot her former fiancee, Jonas Hansen.
-- Could bring herself to shoot Jolinar's former mate, Martouf.
-- Tried to shoot Daniel Jackson's former girlfried, Sarah, after she was taken by the Goa'uld Osiris.

Has created two devastating bombs despite her own moral objections (Scorched Earth, Chain Reaction).

Went to Hell/Netu to rescue her father, Jacob Carter and his Tok'ra symbiote Selmak.

I know there are plenty more. Just felt like adding a few.

keeps declining jack's invites to go fishing.
is using her lab to work on her motorcycle (which the show's producers aren't even sure if the actress can ride...guess they shoulda asked first huh? specially since the fans have been wanting to see her on it)

it's the opinion of many that she is putting the brakes on any relationship between her and jack...and he's taking his cues from her.
