| Re: Favorite POV Which makes me wonder how long Shae and Bronn had been working for Tywin.
Flash back to Tyrion's return from the Eyrie... Tyrion sends Bronn to find him a whore and Bronn returns with a teenage runaway whore with a quick mind and tongue and who is also beautiful. Bronn claims to have taken her from some knight and Tyrion believes him. Then Tywin orders Tyrion to leave Shae behind or he'd hang her... just the sort of order that Tyrion could not help but disobey.
Suppose Tywin ordered Shae to become Tyrion's whore... Tywin needed some way to keep tabs on Tyrion. Tywin knew that if he demanded that Tyrion leave Shae behind that Tyrion would disobey just to spite him. And he knew that Tyrion was enough of a fool to believe he had a real relationship with the girl... so Tyrion would confide in Shae and she'd pass on the info to Tywin.
Suppose Tywin bought Bronn when they first met (Tyrion said they'd get along "famously"). Bronn could have been paid to be Tyrion's protector while informing Tywin of Tyrion's actions.
I'm not supposing that Bronn and Shae were working together, only that they might each have been working for Tywin without Tyrion's knowledge.
Either might have been working for Varys (a different theory). Did Varys spy Tyrion brining Shae into King's Landing as he said or did Shae or Bronn tip him off?
I love Tyrion's POVs. Theon's are good, but I detest him. Jon's are good, but he bores me. Sansa (whom I find dull) constantly interacts with the interesting people. Bran's POVs are yawners. And I thank GRRM for ending the Catelyn POV.
That said, I am glad that Varys, Littlefinger, Tywin, Cersei, Aemon, Jorah, Oberyn, Sandor, and Melisandre do not have POVs. I enjoy being surprised and I enjoy the guessing as to their motives. I loved it when Jaime's POVs began and I'm sure I'll enjoy Cersei's too. Now that I know so much about her, I'd like to get her side of the story... though I swore to myself that I would not like Tyrion, I failed. I love him! Then I swore I would continue to hate Jaime when his POVs started, but I like him a lot. Now Cersei's POV is about to start... I swear to all of you that I will continue to hate her! (Unless I start to empathize with her, of course!)
