We have way too many unnatural processed foods for lower costs than healthy unprocessed foods in America. Thats part of the problem. That, and honestly, we expect women in America to cook and clean full time, raise kids full time, and have full time careers. One of those has to go. Usually its cooking since cooking and cleaning go hand in hand.
Its our lifestyle expectations and economic situations that drive people to eat unhealthy.

on the bright side, with the economic crash and higher unemployment, many people are now at home rather than at work and eating out is too expensive, so with a bit of luck they'll be at home cooking real food instead of filling the kids up with ha[[y meals and other addictive junk foods and the next generation will be healthier.
