That is what I like about our neighborhood, it is mixed. We have from the old to the very young. Michelle and her three went Trick or Treating. Her oldest is 11 year old Leonart. and she is exapecing a baby in January. My son takes out the trash for the Jacksons, the Sykes and the Walkers, they are all retired folk (but fun and lively) and really like him. He took out Tarique who is two and Malik who is four. Their parents are the neighborhood watch captain and his wife who is a Doctor. Reverand Cyrus and his wife live down the block from us and have a mixture of children at home (The youngest is my son's age) and grandchildren who visit. We have a single wonam who lives at the end of the block. And Bill who lives across the street has his cousin (who is a social worker) with whom he lives and they take care of her mother and they have six foster children. Bill's two teenagers visit on the weekends. It is a really lively group on our block! And very kid friendly neighborhood. (Except for the smart-a$$ed kid on the go cart who we are all going to kill if we don't run over the idiot first. Only one that likes him is the "horse" and he is a dog!)

Overworked your area sounds like my street. We get that sorta stuff every week. The week does not feel complete without a drug bust from the cops etc. or a drunken brawl on pay day. ![]() 4 kg of candy seems a bit excessive. Think about the dentist bills ![]()

since I was at the mall, with my nephew, I wasn't home to pass out about $20 worth of candies,so my "Pride and Joy" package the candies up and sold it to her classmates at school the next day,(cheeky brat wouldn't share profit with her old mom. (I am seriously thinking about getting a "zat gun")

Posh area of Australia with bar fight on Thursdays. Not in my section of LA! The only ones who drink usually stagger home from friends parties or sleep over! Coffeecup. My son would never part with his Halloween candy! Even for money! Your daughter sounds very enterprising... especially with YOUR money! I think we spent the same amount on candy. I could not believe that it took an hour and a half to go through 3 bowls full of the stuff, and then my son came home with about 8 pounds. I nearly died! Think we should mix children's ambitions. Perhaps get two that would sell my son's hoard. But with our luck we would get two that would resell the candy from our hoard to give out!
