Thanks to the wonderful Admin people here we have our very own Aussie Andromeda board....

So let me just kick start the conversation off by saying that the Australian TV networks have absolutely no taste I have had extensive converstions with both channels 9 and 10 who have never even heard of Andromeda needless to say I sent them directly to the official web site and still they say oh well maybe in a year or two we will think about it.

AAAARRGGHHHHHHHH....

I have however had better luck with Foxtel who have called me back asking for more information so keep your fingers crossed they have the foresight to see a market for the show.

G'Day and welcome to the Australian slice of Andromeda.
Thanks Stripe for the information on Andromeda and the Australian broadcasters position.
After seeing what they have done to the last several Sci-fi / fantasy shows, it does not give one a lot of faith in those broadcasters or their taste in TV programming.
Then again hopefully in the near future, if enough interest from fans is indicated, there is nothing to say that perhaps we cannot arrange a deluge of surface and electronic mail, just to let them know how many people "really are" interested.

We that is a few of us Aussies those that are on the Australian Andromedians list will be seeing Andromeda episodes hopefully within the next few days.
This is only because a very dear friend of mine in the states has taped the show and has sent me the video I will then be copying it to send to those who are on the Aussie list.
So yes we will be seeing it..... but the rest of Australia wont be because the commercial TV stations have decided they arent intrested in showing it for at least 12 months or if indeed ever.

However I refuse to give up in trying to change their minds ....LOL
