Me? Besides the actors being there ... the tech people and those that work behind the scenes to make the episodes. I like hearing and seeing how the effects are created, how the music is chosen ... what sorts of things to the foley artists use to make all the interesting sounds? Stuff like that. Other than that ... bloopers! ![]() Cheers,

'Quality time' with the cast and crew. All went out of their way to be accessable [as best as their time limits and schedules could allow]. I've always liked 'small' cons [and this was a small con compaired to, let's say, WesterCon or NorWestCon here in the Pacific Northwest]best for just this reason. I want to see this 'small town' feel continue with next year.

Ah ... wish I knew. I'll pass you on to the 'Cool Graphics' dept. head, if you'd like. I'm the one who gets to sort out such wonderful questions as "Why'd the team change from MP-5's to the P-90's this season?" [I considered that to be a fairly simple query.] or "Why can't you tell me how to write that Sam found a way to change interspacial quantum physics so the wormhole will rotate counterclockwise?" [Okay ... do I look like Steven Hawkings?]. :} Inquiring minds and all that.

Current military doctrine with all services 'Spec Op' units [SF, Delta, RDF, SEALS, Para-Commando, etc] now utilized the P-90 as an alternate machine pistol. Uses the same round an M-16 does [5.56], is a more compact 'bull-pup' weapon design with a better reliability history [than the M-16 - the MP-5 is a great weapon, IMHO], abidexterous saftey [nice feture] and a 'smoother' outline - not as 'harsh' lined as the outline of an M-16 or MP-5, making it harder to see against a motteled background, like the boonies. It's the last, however, I believe, makes it a poorer choice of weapon for the 'show' as it doesn't stand out well in production. Good for real camo in a real field environment, bad for filming. I think, with the show, it's their desire to reflect 'real world' military reality. I had a chance to talk to Tom [the shows Air orce advisor at the Con] andhe and the studio work hard at keeping things as accurate as possible and a command like SGC would have all the current 'goodies' to choose from. That's MHO - and that of my husband, the US Army Airborne guy with the Green Hat ... Rowan

After speaking to a number of people including N. John Smith and Brad Wright, you will hardly ever fin any outtakes after season 2. There is an outtakes reel for season 1, but they are reluctant to part with it. The main raeson you won't see any now, is that Stargate has moved to shooting the series on 35mm, and Brad said it is way too expensive to print all of the footage shot for each episode, so they only print the good footage to save money. Sorry to dissapoint everyone

Allen, oops Gatecon, Thank you for finding out the information about out takes. Now that they film in 35mm and out takes are too expensive, I will only bug you to bug them to show out takes from season one and two! And why are they holding the outtakes so close to their chest (so to speak or type)? Future SALES? Would like to see RDA and MS at future cons same as most people!
