He is going to be a serious problem for Dynan. What was it, "you have principles and to be honest that bothers me". Is the idea of restoring the conferderaion not going to involve basically going against the N quite drastically. Is he going to be more loyal to the N, money or Dylan.. interesting.

You know the line I tend to remember is "I've worked for a lot of fools in the past ... maybe it's time for something different." (paraphrase that) There are probably going to be differences of opinions. The general philosophy of Tyr's and Dylan's are going to clash and probably make for some really interesting plots. Tyr's comments on the amount of power of the nova bombs and Dylan's comment that they are only good for destruction come to mind. They'll probably both learn a lot from each other ... I hope so it'll make for more complete characterization. Cheers,

A P.S. to that. Neitzschean philosphy, in my mind, doesn't necessarily go against the Commonwealth. They were at one time allies. It was just the idea that the Commonwealth would make peace with a species (Magog) that had thought of the Neitzachean's as Happy Meals that rankled. The Neitzschean's probably aren't against peaceful co-existence, they just feel that one shouldn't make peace with an enemy as dreadful as The Magog ... one should annihilate them instead. Cheers,

I wonder if Tyr is going to be a typical N though? I doubt it being a bounty hunter. His views and attitudes i guess we will not be able to take as general N philosophy. I agree about the bombs thing. He suggested how much could be done with them it will be interesting to see what he actually meant by that and yes Dylan's answer was a good one.

I guess they failed to be able to beat the magog. Or perhaps the magog changed as well. I am not sure if we know yet how the magog generally act today? Also, we can not take Tyr's philosophy to be general N nietzchian philosophy i don't think. He has not tired to kill the Magog (really need to remember their names!) so perhaps he dosen't have this view. As far as merceneraies go he does seem to have a dislike of killing (good obviously).

I think we'll have to wait and see what a lot of this 'history' that has been built up for the show really means. I can find that a treaty was signed in CY9772 for full trade and diplomatic relations. But then in CY9777, the Andromeda conducted a strike against a Magog fleet before it could launch a swarm attack on another system. So I don't know. Right now, it's a tad confusing. It seems the Magog are still treating people as Big Macs 300 years later and the way that they procreate is described in To Loose the Faithful Lightening - not a nice way to go either. Cheers,
