Isn't there only supposed to be one slayer in the world at once? Where did Fiath come in and did it show it when she became a slayer or did she just pop out of nowhere?

Faith entered into the picture when Kendra (the other slayer) was killed by Drucilla. Kendra was called as a slayer when Buffy Died for a few Seconds in the first season (I think). Whenever a slayer dies a new one is called immediately.
