hmmm - that could be interesting --

he's only a Major - how would they work that? b/c that would be THE fastest jump in rank that i could see ---- but - i wouldn't object -- and (there's a convo about this in the Jack thread) - i don't think Jack would take kindly to being stuck behind a desk - unless forced by some accident or injury that would prevent him from travelling off-world -

When I first started watching the show again, (caught a little bit of it in eariler seasons, but didn't have Showtime to watch it ) one of the first episodes i saw was Tangent. Saw him and thought "I really like this character." then didn't see him anymore. They finally showed the eps, Into the Fire and Foothold on syndication and the more I saw of him the better I liked him. Finally got to see Small Victories, and that just cemented what I thought about him

I really like the concern he shows for SG1, like not only does he respect them, but he genuinely likes them

yeah - Davis seems to like SG-1 and the SGC - he's the only one from Washington who seems to, tho --

why do all the people in Washington always see the Stargate as a threat? i suppose it can be - and an argument could be made to state that it is - but i haven't heard a GOOD one yet - and Kinsey's crap about the expense isn't a GOOD reason -- so, until someone makes a really good argument - i think that the Stargate project will remain --- (kinsey was an @$$ anyway - ugh)

Unfortunately in 2010 He is the President. Am waiting to see what happens in 2001 and with John de Lancie as this new pentagon Colonel... I wonder if he is a replacement for nice Major Hottie Davis... Hope not! Looks like we might have two Pentagon people in Season 5.

News straight from the Major's mouth on a Yahoo chat with Colin Cunningham, was that he was cast for 2 epis in season 5!

Also read on his official fan club web site that he'd already filmed at least one of the eps.

maybe with this other guy from the pentagon, they'll somehow let Major Hottie go through the gate!!!

Yes, we can only hope... but I wonder if John de Lancie's character will insist that Major Paul will go through the gate...and into trouble because he is kindly disposed toward SG-1 and de Lancie's character is tech wantiing..

Yeah he's cute but I wasn't sure about him at first. He's turned out 2 b a sort of good guy and it's a nice change 2 have an outsider (i.e. sum1 from the Pentagon) b on the side of SG-1. He's cool!

de Lancie has a penchant for being cast into 'pain-in-the-butt' characters -- (don't get me wrong, i loved "Q", but he was a pain)

and i hope that he doesn't 'overshadow' Major Davis -- b/c i WILL write to MGM and tell them they made a BIG mistake (and not just b/c i'm a major davis fan, but b/c this is getting lame) - (we don't need that many more new antagonists in this show! aren't the system lords enough? i know we need to see washington making their big arguments about why the SGC needs to be shut down, but you'd figure after SG-1 saved the world a couple times, the 'suits' would get the picture) -- anyway ---- more Major Davis -- isn't that the point i was making??

oh -- and about Kinsey being pres in 2010 -- well, since they changed history - i have a feeling he won't become pres -- shall we speculate?? who else could be pres come 2010??

and Kat was correct -- straight from the Major's mouth -- he is slotted for 2 eps - and has already filmed the 1st of those two --

yeah!! more Major Davis --- (tho 2 eps for a whole 22 ep season isn't NEARLY enough -- come on -- more more more!!!!!)
