I watched a couple of episodes again yesterday and I've really got to say I like the guy.

He's not real bad on the eyes, he cares about the SGC and the team in particular. His actions both in Small Victories and Tangent showed caring and compassion for everyone concerned.

for

Small

Victories & Tangent

I especially liked how he didn't just jump to it and have the Dallas destroy the Russian sub. He waited and let Daniel be the one to make the decision. I think that took a lot of insight into Daniel and what he was going through for him to do that.

In Tangent he shows that caring again. You know he is really feeling the same despair that the rest of the people at the SGC are feeling at the idea of losing Teal'c and Jack.

I hope that this is one character that TPTB don't kill off.

Cheers,

There are some who are still hoping for that one.

I also have a general dislke of the Tollans, not Marim in particular, just the Tollans, they are far too superior! I understand their non-interference policy and probably agree with it but they are so smugly superior!

was reading along -- and someone mentioned that Maj Davis showed up for the first time in Into the Fire -- nope -- he's in A Matter of Time too -- that's the 1st ep we see him -- tho not for very long - itty bitty teenie tiny little part - basically - he nearly slams into Hammond, then escorts him to an airplane where Hammond's supposed to leave to talk w/ the Pres -- (dunno why Davis doesn't get on the plane w/ him b/c he's s'posed to go back to the Pentagon -<shrug> )

okay - hmmmmmm -- other Major Davis stuff -- well - heard he's supposed to be around in season 5 - - just waiting!!

Ayeah, first time we hear his name his troops are pointing their rifles at Hammond. What a way for a laison officer to greet the person with whom he is meet.

hehe -- it's an interesting opener -- (for Maj Davis) -- but - liason or no - can't take any chances that an alien may poke it's head out that door (or a weapon) and try to take you prisoner --

well protected liason there --

hmmm - fave Maj Davis episode? well - A Matter of Time would be - but his part's so small -- ----- i like Foothold and Tangent -- both great eps!!

I thought his part in Small Victories was nice also! He came across a VERY sympathetic and understanding. Also liked him in Tangent for the same reasons!

Matter of Time, Foothold, Into the Fire were all smaller than Tangent and Into the Fire his role was not all that sympathetic as he had to be the bearer of bad news... No troops to help SGC teams trying to help DJ, JO'N and SC. But I like have he tried to help Hammond and apologized to him for not bringing better news.

haven't watched Small Victories in a while -- (probalby next on my list of eps to watch again) --

his part isn't too bad in Foothold - tho, it's not really big either - (poor guy - if those pesky aliens are trying to take over - and the pentagon is next affter the SGC - wouldn't Davis be rather important??) -- but hey - he got to tote a gun around -

he's only in 6 eps -- A Matter of Time, Into the Fire, Foothold, Nemesis, Small Victories, and Tangent --

heard he's supposed to show up again in Season 5 - woohoo!!

There are a lot of people here who want to see him again! Some as a successor to Hammond if Jack isn't tagged!
