There is deinitely a sequel infact I am pretty sure the studio has already paid for 2 sequels. I read an article about Trinity getting the new script and she thought it was even better than the first one - so YES there will be a sequel.

I am going to do my best no to read anything about what is in it though, one of the great things about the film was that I did not know that much about it. Most of what I heard was about the special effects which although amazing are not what the film is all about (only anyway).

I have the film on video but seriously considering getting it on DVD if i can somehow flog my video somewhere for something i may well do :-0

You have made my day (or night)
2 sequels??????? What could possibly happen except that Neo will absolutely flog any agents...
Buy it on DVD,i have read in a post that you have a 22 inch screen, that is almost as big as my TV....
Is the quality noticable on a DVD? Than on a vid?

Arr there is so much to do! They have only won in the "fake world"..

This is what i see as a bit of the irony of the show. Look how smug and "happy" he looked at the end of the show when he knows that "he is the one" and can do anything in the matrix. He is supreme there, rules the place and can do anything he wants (he just knows it is not real). Now he has to destroy the thing that he is king of. Imagine that, imagine you could do anything you wanted in the world you live in but you know it is not 'real' and thus you are going to destroy it so that you can live in the real world which is pretty horrible to say the least.

At the moment us humans have very little going. Yes we can disrupt the matrix but that is one person. Not that hard to kill with all those robots around. Somehow they have to build an army up, short circuit the matrix somehow.. so much to do :-)

Oh yeah DVD quality.. well to do a fair comparison i need to watch a dvd through a tv which i have never done so i don't know but yes it is better. The sound is hugely better though i know that for a fact.

What is so good is that the dvds take up so much less space, look a lot better, have cool extras on them (especially the matrix but shows like farscape have cool extras - stagrate dosen't have any!) and also that i can play on my computer :-).

Pretty cool, I think i saw it advertised for £13 new but want to see if i can get cheaper than that - it is the most popular dvd so i am sure some will want till sell 2nd hand.

Yeah, I'spose there is lots for Neo to do.

One of my fav. parts is where Neo and Trin. get out there guns at the bottom of the building and let loose on the guards (I s;pose that is a lot of people's fav parts)

Just for the record the "white rabbit girl"?? She is in a popular Australian Soapie called "Home and Away"

2nd hand? I would want to buy a DVD first hand, but that's just me.

Can you watch stargate DVD's in different languages? Can you get English subtitles? Engligh subtitles would be quite helpful in writing out SG scripts.....

Yes i am pretty sure there are sub titles for the stargate dvds.

2nd hand, well i don't think it matters that much - dvds do not degrade in quality after being watched like videos (as long as they are not scratched and i wouldn't buy a scratched one!)

That scene, yeah that was brilliant, amazing photography for it all. I think in the making of the film bit they said how they had about 4 of the rooms for making it!

Oh, you know when the destroy the life and the shot pans down to the room, for some reason it seems to have been put together again - seems they have an efficient repair team :-)

I have heard about the special features of the Matrix on DVD, I think you can actually watch it with all the ropes holding the poeple up (That normally are blotted out) do you get me?

A prequel might be alright?

That would be pretty cool. A prequel would definitely work as well. In fact there could be quite a few. One about the previos "one" and another about building zion perhaps.

Yeah the building of Zion might be alright....
They way that The Matrix ends - the very last scene (How he is at the telephone box) gives me the impression that there will be a sequel.....
Do you have any idea when the sequel will be released (Just off memory I'm sure I can look it up somewhere) ???

Matrix info

Hey gang,

Thought I would offer what I know about the next two films.

The Brothers W always had three parts in mind when writing. So we have only seen the 1st if three parts.

They change the start of filming often but last I heard they would begin this fall and film for 300 and some days. They are fliming 2 and 3 back to back.

Release Date: Early summer or Christmas 2002 (tentative}

Who's In It: Keanu Reeves (Neo); Laurence Fishburne (Morpheus); Carrie-Anne Moss (Trinity); Hugo Weaving (Agent Smith?); Jet Li (rumored); Jean Reno (rumored).

This site is truly an amazing place when if somes to film news.
http://www.corona.bc.ca/films/filmlistings.html

The other thing I have heard is an anime version of a prequel...but I know nothing else about it.

Hope this helps

Claudia Black

Yeah, the writers of Farscape said in the last chat that the main characters would being coming and going just like in real life.

Farscape is filmed in Aussie
Matrix will be filmed in Aussie...last I heard.

Claudia mentioned in an interview she would like to be in Matrix.

All these things combined lead to
"Claudia Black will be in Matrix"

I have dug thur every site I know to comfirm...notta.
So, rumor is it.
