RangerOne SG13 SOR

Another cool episode, I really enjoyed this one. At first the bounty hutners character seems shallow but as time goes on his past unravels revealing the all too predictable good side. I mean you just knew he would do the right thing in the end ( wasnt that the moral of the story )
The scene when he shoots himself with the zat gun and shouts "ooh tickles" hehehe

I would like to see this character again in another episode he has the same kind of humour as Jack.

:P

Oh yeah, Aris Boch is one of the more enjoyable 'anti-heroes' on the show so far. I think just about anyone who has seen it wants to see more of him in the future.
Since he obviously knew SG-1, do you suppose he was using that story about his son being held prisoner to get everyone to help him - specifically Jack?

Cheers,

Hehe, i just watched this episode for the first time on wednesday on sjy one re-runs.
I am not sure about the son thing, would it really have made much difference to how much sympathy he got if he told them that lie or actually told them the truth?

I think we may well see him again, i agree he played well against Jack with clashing similarities of character!

I'm not sure if the truth or the lie would have made a difference. He already had (basically) the leverage he needed with just taking the team prisoner and then using some of them as hostages in order to get their help. Would playing on the sympathy of the team ensure his success - make them more ameniable to helping him catch a 'goa'uld' or was the use of Sam as hostage enough? Maybe he didn't think he knew enough about human nature to be sure that they would help if he didn't throw in that little story.
Cheers,

I totally agree about Aris Boch...he is an absolute legend!
Although he was the 'bad guy', it was great to see a so-called villain that had many personality traits that were similar to Jack. This time the difference between the bad guys and the good guys wasn't clear cut as both Aris and Jack acted the same.

The "ooh tickles" you can just imagine Jack saying it. Pretty fuuny.
Also interesting was how Jack did just shot him given the opportuntity. I am surprised Jack actually thought he trusted him, i knew he didn't :-)

Loved Flash Gordon and I was glad to see Sam Jones as well. Can I take a stab and say that you probably like Buckaroo Banzai also?

Did Aris BOch remind anyone of BobaFett (Starwars)? He looked a tad like him and had weapons like him and also had his own ship like bobafett, so did it?

I may be the only one here, but did anyone think the script was slightly dodgy? Teal'c said a few things that were a little... un Teal'c-ish. It just didn't sound right to me.

Yes! he did remind me of Boba Fett!

hahaha. I noticed the Boba Fett thing also. Think it was deliberate?

My favorite part (as in, rewound it to watch it twice) was where Daniel and Jack were trying to figure out the password for the door. That whole scene was just hysterical, and I love watching those two actors play off each other. Such terrific chemistry (not in the slash way!!) between them. It's really a joy to watch.
