I love the movie, I love the series and I love the way the characters from the orginal have progressed and been brought into the series. As it was james spader that got me hooked (next to micheal and george he's my fav actor, and i do consider him a hunk), i love watching it over and over again...(on vid). I also have most of the eps on tape, but must go through them and check what I have not got as I think I'm missing a few here and there...could use a printer and a list of bloody eps to check them against. The books I thought were brill. I liked the way they were written and padders, do you have them read yet?????

When I saw the SG movie, I really enjoyed the story and the concept, but I thought KR was so stiff and unemotional, I just couldn't buy into the character at all. IMHO RDA's Jack is a much better, more rounded character. Then again, he's had 4 years to work on it, so....!! I also really liked JS's version of Daniel, but I've always had a problem with JS, after seeing him in various Bratpack films and Mannequin, where he plays complete greasy gits!! I feel that the series has taken a fascinating concept and taken it to the edge, again and again. Obviously, not every episode is groundbreaking or anything, but the long running arcs are what keep me interested.

SPOILERS FOR THE CURSE, SERIES 4 ******* Hey everyone. This doesn't have anything to do with the topic, but recently i just wondered, in the movie, why is that Abydos called Abydos? In Egypt, it was one of the main cities where *Osiris* was worshipped, and in the movie, Ra ruled over it (or did Osiris at first, then Ra put him into a jar?!) why didn';t they call Abydos Heliopolis or something, where Ra was worshipped. Am I making any sense?! ![]()

in a way, yes.... I have no idea...all I know about abydos is that it was orginally where the kings where buried (the city), before the vally of kings....so maybe...some one thought seeing as they were going to kill off ra...that was the place to do it.... aby(not making sense either....lol)
