Excellent theory - and it could very well be closer to the target. I, too, was thinking that the giant was Gregor until I read your post. You pointed out one thing that really stood out for me - some of the references are way too obvious for GRRM. I think he may definitely be trying to mislead us here, and your guess of Hodor is as good (or better) than any. |
