| **Spoiler Alert** Hi. I just finished reading The Forging of the Sword. I liked it a lot. The beginning was a little slow, but once Calvyn joined the army things picked up a little. I paticulary liked Derra. She's very hard and unemotional seeming during Calvyn's basic training, but showed an acual person afterwards and when Calvyn and Bek get accused of stealing. Reminds me of my Sensei. I'm just wondering how long its going to take the evil wizard to figure out that Calvyn has the book( if that's even really what he's after). I also am wondering how long Perdimonn is going to stay in the rock. I guess I'll just have to read the next couple of books. |

| Re: Bookstop's daughter likes your book hmmm- I'm guessing she did it on accident. She really did love the book, evn though she said she just finished it, that's not true, she read it in about 3 days (probably would've knocked it out in one, but we've been sooooo busy)She's not a forum regular - I guess we'll have to get a moderator to fix that. |

| Re: Bookstop's daughter likes your book Thanks for the feedback. I don't know whether other writers feel the same, but I always end up holding my breath for a response after recommending my own work - after all, not everyone likes the same sort of stories. I'm told that the books get better as the series progresses. The writing certainly improves, but my favourite of the storylines is the second book. I hope that she'll go on to enjoy the rest - sorry to talk in the third person, but I don't know your name and 'Bookstop's daughter' seems so impersonal!
