OK, here is the deal, I have this key saying, ? and / but when I hit them, they type - and =.

How come? Can anyone solve the great keyboard mystery?

Last time that happened to me, the batteries needed changing, but as its the laptop I can only hazard a guess.Have you spilt anything? or has any foriegn particle got stuck under the keys?

None of that. One minute I was typing my Basement story, and then all of a sudden the quotation marks got lost and the question marks went to different keys...

Impressive nixie, I had that problem the other day, but it was a couple of the number keys - they opened up the calculator program anytime I typed "3". Thankfully the next time I turned it on it was had fixed itself again. Might have been a virus though, as everytime I turn it off it does an automatic virus cleansing of the system.

stuff like this happens to me because i couldnt work out what of the four versions of a qwerty keyboard i had lol...i guessed wrong
