| Anything I can find by The Darkness. I just found out about this band and have made a sacred vow to myself to go buy their album tomorrow. Thought eighties metal could only be made in the eighties? Think again! Click here, choose a video to watch, smile, laugh, and be in awe. |

| Knivesout no more | Re: What are you listening to? A very sensible plan!!!! How d'you like A Full Circle? I haven't yet heard of them and was wondering how it would be (it's Maynard Keenan's other band, I think Tom Morello is also in it). Currently tripping on Nevermore's Dreaming Neon Black. The last best hope for metal today? |

| Knivesout no more | Re: What are you listening to? Nevermore: Inside Four Walls. A most depressing and moving song about a man in prison. 'They've taken your freedom...but they can't take away your mind!!!!' Massive Attack: 100th Window. I still prefer Mezzanine, but this one has its charms too. |

| Brian G. Turner | Re: What are you listening to? The Verve - Urban Hymns. Bitter Sweet symphony is a superb song, but the couple of Verve CDs I have don't compare to the "She's a superstar" EP I bought years ago - those lovely hypnotic guitars...hmm. Nice to see the Pixies get a mention - but of a vintage group now. Have you listened to Surfer Rosa? Some of their best is one there. |

| Knivesout no more | Re: What are you listening to? The Verve...that album has a lot of associations for me, from my Wild College Boy Days (all of 4 years ago!!!). I recently heard Surfer Rosa, and was quite blown away by it, and by how much the 90s bands copped from that sound. Great stuff!!! Right now I seem to heading straight back to the metal hinterlands, spinning a lot of Soilwork, Dark Tranquility and Nevermore. Well, like my friends say, either you grow out of metal or...you wind up like JP (that's what I'm called in the Real World). |
