I'm a huge metalhead although my tastes definitely lean towards the prog spectrum of it. It would be an entirely too-long post for me to list all the bands I like but here are a few of my favorites:
Opeth, Iced Earth, Blind Guardian, Agalloch, Symphony X, Dream Theater, Death, Cynic, Subterranean Masquerade, Dark Tranquillity, Amon Amarth, Nevermore, Pain of Salvation, Rage, Riverside, Judas Priest, Bathory, Emperor, Dio, Black Sabbath, Evergrey, and I'll just wrap it up there because I'm starting to rant. I love some band of pretty much ever metal sub-genre that's out there although power and prog are my favorites. |
