Why is Harry Potter so popular?

Kids like to believe in a secret world of magic were the lowest kid is a hero, adults are secondary to the action, and where adventures take place all the time.

There are numerous reasons why this story is so popular

1) This was said before but the books are really well written and appeal to those who are only beginning to read but also to those who have been reading for many years.

2) The gadgets and games that are in the novel are like every person's fantasy, flying on brooms, playing Qudditch, going back in time. J.K Rowling has covered every base by making something that everyone can enjoy

3) It brings you back to childhood, with issues that everyone can relate to. Whether it is dealing with a bully (Draco) Not getting your way or having family troubles (With the Dursleys) or just having fun with friends.

4) Like I said before every base is covered. There is a bad guy (Voldemort) a father-like figure and family (Sirius and The Weasleys) Best Friends (Ron and Hermione) A Nemesis (Draco) Pranksters (Weasley Twins) and many many more chracters that make the story the way it is

5) Like any good story should it plays on your emotions. You feel sympathy for Harry when his parents died. You feel genuine hapiness when he is with his friends and having fun in the Gryffyndor Hall. There is mystery when dealing with Dumbledore, Snape, The Ministry of Magic etc.. Fear, apprehension and suspense are just some of the emotions that are involved when talking about Voldemort.

There are tons more reasons but I think it's just because it's just such a great series. It has what every group of books have whether the reader is an adult or an 8 year old. In my opinion her biggest accomplishment wasn't the series itself, it was the ability to bring so many new people into the reading world. Television and Technology was overcoming everyone when she released the books but the books made people want to pick up a novel for the first time and use their imagination to enter into a fantasy world that no television or film could create.

Well that's what I think, I'm not one of those people that think Harry Potter is Deobolical. I truly think that her series was amazing but everyone has there own opinion.

Harry Potter is a very good fantasy book!!

It takes you far away from home and give you the ride of your life!!

Yet....I love all types of fantasy novels!! I am a fantasy maniac!!

The whole thing is just irritating- I don't think the books are well written at all, or meaningful. That said, they're fine as children's books, I suppose, I just don't find them interesting myself.
