I don't even want to think about the Cybermen!

As to the Daleks they were originally humaniod so I guess they reproduced in the normal way. They mutated after a nuclear war and the only way they could survive was to be placed in a Life Support/ Transport/Weapon case - the actual Dalek case, which was designed to specifically house them.

Following that they conquered. pillaged and reproduced by mutating others and cloning. Whether the mutants inside would have been able to actually reproduce it's something I don't want to really think about...

In Genesis of the Daleks, Tom Baker was going to rid the univese of the Daleks by destroying the young Daleks inside 'Incubation Room'. I just had a thought that maybe they lay eggs!

edit: I've changed thread title to Dalek Reproduction. There is an existing thread called 'Daleks: Beginning and End' which is more about their history.
