Will you tell us all the bits you edit out? (Please?)

If I have to edit out entire scenes, then yes, I don't see a problem with that. It would probably be better to wait until the book is out before I post a deleted scenes thread, or it will be a little confusing.

Mark,
We're now approaching that time, of course - so could you still be tempted to post some deleted scenes to the Forums, once Imperial Assassin is out? I imagine there would be a lot of interest...

Just realised that I never responded to this. Imperial Assassin was an oddball, as nothing was really removed ... bits were added! Imperial Traitor, on the other hand will lose a few scenes ... and gain a few. I might look to post some of the cut scenes from the third book sometime in the summer.

Thanks Mark - will look forward to seeing any such cut material . What is the current state of play with Imperial Traitor? Is is still scheduled for a September release? Some of us here are starting to get withdrawal symptoms!

Re: On writing for young adults....

Yes, Patrick, the book is still on schedule. I'm currently awaiting the written thoughts of my editor, so that I can crack on with the rewriting of certain scenes in Imperial Traitor. The main storyline will remain fairly intact, as it seems my instinct for storyline has served me well again. However, there will be some chopping and changing to make better use of some of the characters and make sure that the focus is kept in the right place.

I'll let you know once I've finished the main edit and if there is anything suitable to post here, then I'll do so a little closer to the launch.
