Re: Um... Reader of the Books?

I've read TPM, and liked it. Of course, they employed an accomplished writer to take care of the job. I never read AotC, but RotS is turning out ok. I haven't finished it yet.

I haven't read AotC either but I'm basing my decision on the other two.

About the novels:

TPM is excellent...

I dislike AOTC because they added podracing into it... (even more than the movies)..

ROTS is again quite good...

The Original is also fine although ANH has a few mistakes....

Ah! There's the Ble Ball! Cool!

Welcome to the forum Rider. It's been a while since I read ANH. What were the mistakes?

Re: Um... Reader of the Books?

I don't think I have read ANH. What mistakes are there?

And yes the blue ball is back.

Re: Um... Reader of the Books?

It has been a long time since I've read ANH and I don't remember mistakes as much as the normal differences in certain scenes or dialog from the authors own creativeness or lack of a precise script. And if I remember correctly, Grand Moff Tarkin, I believe, cursed a lot. Again, it's been a long time, although it's still right over there on my shelf, for years now. Man, I've got to dust...

Re: Um... Reader of the Books?

Well, the book describes the Emperor being powerless and the Empire being run by bureaucrats...

Re: Um... Reader of the Books?

That is in the Prologue... there were some minor things also but I don't remember them any more.

Ah yes! I do remember that. I also recall Obi Wan referring to Vader as having used the force to help the corrupt emperors, in the plural sense.

Re: Um... Reader of the Books?

I remember Palpatine's words to Amidala in Ep1 about controlling the bureaucracy. He was speaking of the Trade Federation at the time, which really meant himself...

Re: Um... Reader of the Books?

i've read all of them so far(only missing 6 books out of the whole shebang) i love em'!!!!! but i really wish that they would fill up some of the plot holes like 4 instance: i just finished reading republic commando true colors. but there is a huge hole between there and ROTS like what happens to the clones in the books and order 66 and for those who has read them the jedi /clone baby.

Re: Um... Reader of the Books?

I finally got hold of The Krytos Trap and Isard's Revenge! Already finished TKT and started IR this morning. Loved TKT and was worth the wait, pity I skipped over it before. I have found a great bookshop that has a nice section dedicated to Star Wars so once I get some more money I'll be going back there to get some more
