Re: Um... Reader of the Books? That would be very interesting to see. Who would play Wedge though? It couldnt be the same guy who plays him in the saga, he would look to old. But then again they can do awesome stuff with technoledgy these days, seeing as my school now uses the same software that was used to do the origanal saga.

Re: Um... Reader of the Books? Wedge could be played by anyone really, no one watching a new series would expect the actors and graphics to be indentical. And Wedge's face was mostly obscured by his helmet for most of the time. It would take three trilogies to get the X-wing books onto the big screen, and even then they'd have great difficulty getting all of the action and character development into a 2 hour lot. Still, if anyone pulled it off, it would be something worth watching ![]()

Re: Um... Reader of the Books? What i'd really like to see is a t.v show from the Imperial point of view. Don't think there has been much done from thet point of view and there sometimes seems to be the stereotyping that Imperial=Evil in the EU. There are two sides to every conflict but we only seem to be getting the good side.

Re: Um... Reader of the Books? Don't forget that the Emperor was loosely based on Stalin, with regular purges of his officers, and appointing the most racist and sexist to leadership. The empire before thrawn took over had a command structure based on status before merit.

Re: Um... Reader of the Books? I have felt that some of the books try to show more of that side of things. It also seems to tie in with the general feeling about Germany during the late 30's and into WW2 (which seems to equate to the Empire) where the general population were not necessarily evil but accepted things that happened because it was happening to someone else, combined with a good propoganda machine that explained why it was right. You will see examples in the books where officers are in conflict between orders and morality or choosing to live on a segregated planet as that felt right.

Re: Um... Reader of the Books? You have read all of those? I cant even get my hands on half of them. The only ones I can get my hands on are not the first ones out of a series, such as X-Wing and the one with Last Command in it by Timothy Zhan.

Re: Um... Reader of the Books? I lucked out with the Thrawn trilogy. One day when we were buying props for a school thing our class went to goodwill hoping to find some stuff thier, well, while we were looking I happened to see all three of the books thier(Heir to the Empire, Dark Force Rising, and the Last Command) the first one hardback and the other two paper back and I also found Mattimeo(by Brian Jacques) in paper back and managed to get them all for $2.50, got to love used books. I've been a star wars fan for a while and once I had read a couple of the novels I was really into them, and I've even gotten a few of my friends into them to. All in all I like the way they take star wars in the EU and look forward to see how Legacy of the Force finishes(5 more books to go and Sacrifice comes out sometime near the end of next month I believe) and how it will lead into the Legacy Comics. Me and my friends read alot of everything, and with spring break this week(we got ours late =(, go to a private school, it was supposed to be the same time as our public schools here but they changed it about a month before) I'm hoping to get alot of reading in.

Re: Um... Reader of the Books? Really?! Well actually thats not too much of a surprise. I never got The Krytos Trap out of the X-wing series. A friend had to explain to me what happened cause neither of us could find it.

Re: Um... Reader of the Books? I was fortunate enough to find all of them over the course of several months. In most cases it was a case of "1 second hand in stock", and then none left.
