Re: Um... Reader of the Books?

Make that 3!

I really enjoyed the X-wing books.

One problem I have is in the timescale - according to the films the emergence of the empire and the clone wars can only have been about 20 years before Episode 4. However, in the Thrawn, Heir to the Empire series we find that a Clone War battle infected the Nohgri (sp? can't be bothered to look it up) home planet and that the Empire had been cleansing the planet ever since.

Of course we only find out that it was a clone wars and not a rebellion battle when one character points out that it was 3 generations ago it occured (talking about her 'third son' or grandson)

Obviously a lot of this was to do with the restrictions on any pre-history before Episode 4 until the new films were made.

Re: Um... Reader of the Books?

I've read the "Heir to the Empire" triology, "Tales of the Bounty Hunters" (anthology), "The Bounty Hunter Wars", and the Jedi Academy trilogy. I loved them all. The only reason I haven't read more is that there are so many that I don't know where to begin...

Re: Um... Reader of the Books?

I am reading Truce At Bakura again because I'm in between books and waiting on the next one. I'm not as into it as I was the first time.

Re: Um... Reader of the Books?

I own all the X-Wing books, all of Timothy Zahn's work (i.e. the Thrawn books), plenty of The new Jedi Order, and various assorted other books. There's no way I could list them all from memory

I like Michael Stackpole's books especially, although Aaron Allston is also a talented author.

I wouldn't mind reading some more SW books. I've only read the novelization of Phantom Menace. Much better than the movie, IMO.
