Guess what... Hi!

Thought i'd better send a hello out there, joined earlier today and this will bring my total posts up to a whopping ONE.

I'm an avid reader of anything I can get my hands on. Into music, art and other non-literary pursuits but my big passtime/voluntary day job is writing. Recently finished my first full-length novel and will be happily applying for as many rejections as I can gather from would-be agents & publishers (might as well be realistic eh?).

So anyways Hi all.

Re: Guess what... Hi!

A warm welcome to the Chronicles.

Unfortunately your total posts remains at a whopping zero. Not all forums count in your posts total.

So there's an incentive to start posting elsewhere straight away!

Got anything to posts in the Critiques forum?

Hi and welcome.

Don't be discouraged by your "zero" posts. I'm sure that, with diligence, you can double that in no time.

Re: Guess what... Hi!

Thanks all... and someone should really stick a sign up over the entrance to the basement, and by a sign I mean something other than "Free beer this way".

Don't worry about the Free Beer Psyloke...it's the torture chamber, the mud pits and Wally that you should worry about Oh and I nearly forgot the drool

Re: Guess what... Hi!

Hey! I keep warning people: If you're going to the basement, you need to take a) a guide and b) at least some small-arms and plenty of ammunition.

*pause* Gollum, have they been picking you as guide, by any chance???

Anyway, welcome to the forums. Bring lots of chocolate, especially Belgian -- Colinaliban our Jabberwock (who hangs out with the Cat a lot) is especially fond of such. Incunabularishtar our Bandersnatch isn't too frumious to be mellowed by a cup of Earl Grey (drop of cream, no sugar), and the Phoenix has finished moulting -- big poof all done -- so we've got about 5 weeks before the egg hatches. The haffalumps are off their diet, so they can have peanuts again (in moderation).

Oh, and you might want to wear a mac and some boots when you go in the Tea Room for the next few days, until all the, um, added accessories are, uh, well, cleaned up after....

Re: Guess what... Hi!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news JD, but Precioussss (Gollum to you) is the ummm proprietor of The Basement...

Still, it is entirely up to you Psyloke if you want to take such a big risk and venture down into the depths

Ah... small problem being JD, someone forgot to include The Right to Bear Arms in the UK Constitution...
... actually someone forgot to make a UK Constitution, I think Mrs Elizabeth Windsor, Blair & Co. wouldn't have liked it. So I'll just stay out o' there.

Clearly there's much for me to learn. I'll be the one in the corner curled up in the fetal position sucking his thumb until things return to normal.

By the way I posted a little of my novel in the critique section.
