Favourite character?

Ok, so last night I had a dream that I was Etta!! And come to think of it, she probably is one of my favourite characters from the Liveship books, even though I'm only halfway through the second one.
Other faves of mine are probably Fitz, Paragon, Brashen. Um. . . Amber. I prefer Amber to the Fool, which is odd! The Fool always got on my nerves a bit!
Anyways, what does everyone else think?!

Id love to be Chade, when he believes Fitz dead and he goes into the stage of running around with fitz's charging buck emblem on his forehead. I love that section.

Ive never read liveship because ive never been able to get into them as theyve held no interest which is unfortunate because Hobb is a fantastic writer.

Oh I loved loved loved Liveships! My favourite trilogy although to contradict that slightly, my favourite characters are Nighteyes, Burrich, the Fool, Brashen and of course Paragon!

Brashen was my fav character i think. although i have only read liveship traders and the fool trilogy. maybe i can relate to him, hes a bit damaged in some ways, not opposed to escapism now an then, i.e. cindin for him, other things for me, but he ends up doin good, an bein happy. spose i hope that will happen for me as well or somethin...

the fool first. chade, nighteyes and parragon joint second. everyone else i didn't mind, except for the rest of the liveship characters (exlcuding etta. she was also ok for me,) who i loathed with a passion.

I find it interesting that you liked Amber more mouse...for me they are the same person...in fact thats why continued to read about amber

me too! that's the only reason i read liveshiops, was for amber. amber was a very different character tho, seemed to have more visions, seems more strange and distant, more calm and collected, less mad and sensitive and fool like. but i prefer fool of the last series to the fool of the first, or amber. the one we get to know far better. and i love him as a lord golden. fops rule!

Don't know really why I prefer Amber! Maybe it's as Faery Queen says, Amber's more calm and, I think, reliable, than the Fool.

I understand what your saying and ill have to agree with that lol .

for me though, It's the knowledge that the more serene persona of amber can indeed be the erratic fool that really draws my interest to her.

The fool of the first series was hilarious even without knowing him but yes, there was a greater emotional connection in the latter series

they're my favourite type of character, relaly. not when they're too campy, but at the right level i didn't find the first fool that funny! i have a weird sense of humour tho, tho i did laugh at his joke that he made on the road with fitz. getting himt o say that he loved him (it's vague in my head) that made me laugh, but most of the time he was just cool and strange looking which attracted me

I was very fond of Fitz after six books about his life. However my favourite would have to be Chade. There's just something about him.
