Re: Favourite character? Nighteyes my favourite character. I actually read the two series out of order the first time (I read the Tawny Man series before Assassin's apprentice etc.), but Nighteyes was still able to get me, even just in the one book. I didn't realize it until the end, and then I balled my eyes out! Although, I cried at the end of Fools Fate as well, but more for Fitz (I never really empathized with the fool). The poor man, his life was so terrible! And it doesn't even end all that well for him! Oh, and I forgot (hence the editing in) I loved Burrich too! In fact, he challenges Nighteyes for my favourite character!

Re: Favourite character? THE FOOL.....I am seriously in love with him...(?)...or her... major crush...I have to say I hate molly, shes just so...(twisting hands in strangling motions)...ACH...Fitz got on my nerves alot, he was either wallowing in self-pity or simply being really stupid...Chade I liked simply because of his deviousness, but i must say Im more of a fan of the Liveship traders than the other trilogys...I hate how that trilogy is pretty much ignored in the final trilogy, you don't really find out much about them except a brief mention....anyway..i better stop this is turning out to be a long one... oh and how could I forget NightEyes....he shouldn't have dies...sob sob...balled my eyes out when that happened....

Re: Favourite character? Easily the Fool, I love him, he's my all-time favorite fantasy character from any author or series ever. I fell in love with him right in the first book and he was even better in the Tawny Man triology. Amber was the only reason I read the Liveship books. However, he’s very closely followed by Nighteyes, he is so loyal and his relationship with Fitz was amazing. Then probably Fitz, just because . . . I don’t know. He’s so pigheaded sometimes, and does wallow and whine a lot, but that just made him seem more realistic to me and I got very attached to him, especially through his bond with Nighteyes. Oh, I almost forgot Verity! He’s right up there too. Molly and Starling were my least favorites, easily. Starling especially, I don’t know why Fitz even associated with her, she drives me insane. I’ve never understood why Fitz liked Molly either though; I guess I’m just not a fan of the kind of women he seems to like. Oh well. I didn't know there was a short-story by Robin Hobb about The Rain Wilds, I will definitely be looking that up in my library sytem today!

Re: Favourite character? I'd say it's a cross between Burrich and Fitz. Fitz went through hell. That he went through it a few more times. I felt really empathetic for him at the end of the Farseer Trilogy. Yes, he wallows in self-pity, but wouldn't you? His wrath is so incredibly destructive in such a cunning and selfless way. When he finally got Molly, I put my book down and punched the air. He's just an incredible character. Burrich: What do I need to say? He stopped a Dragon using his will. A DRAGON! He was always that big, strong ,muscular, sefless man that you always knew treated Fitz like a son.

Re: Favourite character? Well I have to say that my favourit character was Nighteyes, definatly the better half of the partnership! My second would have to be Burrich, a man suddenly thrown a son who takes on the roles of father. Why did they both have to die (oh and that last hunt part with nighteyes gets me, our last dog die right after a short run with ears pricked, like going on a trip - that was after fits and a general lack of any active movement for some time)

Re: Favourite character? Nighteyes and Fitz are my two favorites. Burrich was also a great character. Haven't read the Liveship trilogy yet, but I know for sure I'll be reading those real soon. Can't get enough of Robin Hobb! A very nice filler until the next book in R.R. Martin's "a Song of Ice and Fire" finally hits the shelves.
