I like Donna. She's brassy and she has some annoying verbal mannerisms -- but she has a big heart.
With Martha, I always felt that every time she did something brave or loyal she was looking over her shoulder to see if the Doctor noticed and approved.
Donna doesn't care about the Doctor's approval. She answers to her own conscience. At the same time, if he convinces her that something has to be done, she doesn't flinch from doing it. |
