While Christmas shopping the other day, I saw a Dalek driving down the middle of the road, blaring out Doctor Who music.

If you can sort of imagine a small car, with large grey and black Dalek build on top of it...tup, that's what I saw. No idea if there's a pic anywhere online - if someone reminds myself I'll have a look later.

I just thought I'd mention that.

Daleks were/are the arch-enemy of Dr Who, a immensely big sf classic TV here in Britain. Apparently, it's pretty underground in the USA, though.

Amazing voices.

Oh, that's just too cool, Brian. I can just see it. I'm spending Christmas with my friend the Dr. Who fan, so I'll be sure to tell her about your sighting. She'll get a kick out of it.

Thanks for the info, I've only seen bits of Dr. Who here and there, so I know what he *looks* like and the basic premise of the series. I've always thought it would be something I would enjoy but have never really had a chance to see it on a regular basis.

I told my friend about the Dalek in the road over Christmas dinner. She got quite a kick out of it.

I wish I'd seen that. Daleks were an integral part of my childhood. I remember hiding when Dr Who came on the TV and I heard that commanding metallic voice.

My fear soon disappeared when I realised all I had to do was run up the stairs to escape them.

If I saw a Dalek driving down the street I think I'd fall over laughing. I love them but my mom can't stand them.

As the Dalek was driving through Hull town center, it did receive a lot of bemused looks from shoppers.

I think it would be very funny but exciting too. My mom absolutely hates their voices. And she hates Davros as well!

It's so funny when my sis and I watch it and she goes "Oh no!"

I'm afraid I don't know - but I'm fairly certain that a car like that is going to be spotted elsewhere sometime.
