Re: darkweaver movie?

That would be pretty funky...but there's always some level of dissapointment in fantasy films based on books. Everyone has their own idea of what things look like etc. so films have a tendancy to ruin your imagines to a certain extent...i baggsy Steady tho she'd have to be one short mare!

Re: darkweaver movie?

well i think the mane prob with book to films is that the authors dont take an active part in the film they just pop in once ina while to see how its going, if the author actualy directed or co-directed the film then it would be a lot better

Re: darkweaver movie?

Writers are usually not involved, frequently they aren't even allowed near the things; once they're paid for the film rights, they're usually cut out of the loop completely, and that's where the problem comes in. There are exceptions, but this is still, in the main, the filmmakers' preference.

Re: darkweaver movie?

yeah filmakers just wanna get the rights, make the film, and pocket the cash. if the authors played a part in the film making we would have some real good films,

I want to be Jenna!...Or Derra...They are some amazingly strong women...Ooor maybe I could be the Demon in Trail, that would be fun! Although I don't think I'm quite big enough or bear-like enough to pull that off!

Re: darkweaver movie?

Haha no, I was thinking that, but I don't think I could pull of the devastatingly beautiful, dark haired, scantily-clad...um, beauty (sorry, couldn't think of another word to finish that (it is 11 in the morning, and I'm a student...the two don't mix!)).
Besides, Jenna has a bigger role, heh.

Re: darkweaver movie?

Mark have you ever thought about trying to make a movie of the darkweaver series or did it never occur to you?

Re: darkweaver movie?

Its eventually suggested about most books. Although the cost of a film is immense and nearly all films are outclassed by the corresponding books.
