I'm all about metal myself, mostly black metal... It started with the old masters like Emperor, Immortal, Darkthrone etc... Now I'm into some more underground stuff like Vargsang, Angantyr, Tsjuder... I also like atmospheric/folk black like Agalloch, Wolves in the Throne Room, Negura Bunget, Drudkh... And some depressing black like Hypothermia, Make a change... kill yourself and Woods of Infinity. And of course I have to mention Ulver, one of the most original and genius bands ever. Nattens Madrigal = best black metal album ever.
