I read a sci-fi book at least 5 years ago, which I am trying to find again. Title unknown, author unknown. The story deals with, I think, earth after some major war in which the people on the planet were probably wiped out. But there is this group or person in a space ship orbitting the planet (maybe geostationary orbit). They eventually come down in Western Australia. A lot of the novel (I think) was tied up with working out what has gone wrong with communications between the ship and earth, and whether it is safe to go down to earth.
Does anyone know what novel or author my terrible memory is tenuously linked to? |
