However, even so, I am thoroughly enjoying the site, and can't wait to see what's discussed in other threads. | |

| Re: Terms of Use What is considered a "PUBLIC" forum where I essentially give up the rights to my writing? I pretty much don't have any rights anyway, I guess, as I am writing a shadow story that weaves around the original Star Wars trilogy. All Canon characters belong to G.L. The rest are of my own making. |

| Re: Terms of Use It's always a good idea to put in a copyright notice when publishing any original piece of writing. (It costs you nothing and it only takes a few keystrokes.) Posting to a website that anyone can access (particularly one with over 13,000 registered members) would, most certainly, count as publication. |

| Re: Terms of Use Thanks very much. If I add "STORYNAME © 2006 John Doe" I should be OK to post it in the public forums, or do I need to note copyright of the original LFL characters and situations as intellectual property of Lucasfilm? Thanks! The issue is one of electronic rights - publish something extant in the public domain, and you may have effectively lost electronic rights of ownership - which in turn may make commercial publishing difficult. | |

| Re: Terms of Use you can submit to any thread but your post count only increases in the 'serious threads' like critiques and author threads places like the lounge, introductions and playrooms are just for fun and you will not receive posts for them but feel free to add to the community spirit and welcome to the chronicles |

I tried to respond earlier, and my response was rejected, because I inadvertently used a smiley. I didn't know smilies were considered a link. This (the notion that smilies constitute a link) was not explained in the above rules. I'm sorry if the attempt to express agreement with a sense of humor is considered to be "self promotion." It was not intended as such. As I've said, I don't even pretend to understand the whole phenomenon of text messaging. Whole words show thought, and thought is where ideas begin. | Re: Terms of Use That's okay. I'm sorry about my outburst. I have a tendency to over analyze things. (Okay , everyone. One, two three. Noooooooooooooooo, Frontierzone. Really?) I usually get over these things, and have a good laugh at myself in the process. It's how I grow. Anyway, I appreciate the feedback. thank you. |

| Re: Terms of Use I had a quick question. Are we allowed to have signatures? I've been searching on the forum and cannot seem to find anything mentioning singatures. Any help would be appreciated, thanks. |
