The original article? It's meant to be humorous, but a lot of people take it far too seriously. It makes editors sound capricious and unreasonable, which they seldom are. They're there to do a job, after all, not torture writers.
But there's a grain of truth in the piece, here and there.
It's just that people shouldn't be getting their writing advice from articles that are meant to be tongue-in-cheek. |
