Just wanted to add to the praise given thus far. I have read three pieces you have placed here to this point and have enjoyed reading each. For someone who reads recent fantasy and dealing with multiple character views I honestly felt that reading the view from a single character would end up being stale to me but at this moment you have made the events around Cassia pull the person in. So great job on that.
As for the exchange with Meredith and the old man I saw no issues there. You played it well and I liked following Cassia as Meredith grabbed her attention. It also made me curious about the two gentlemen in such a short exchange. Well done. |
