The Blue Star is by no means Pratt's best, but it deserves more mention than it gets. Not as complex as
The Well of the Unicorn, but rather meaty, nonetheless. The problem is that it is also not quite as successful as a forward-moving story; it shares some of the same faults as Lindsay's
A Voyage to Arcturus, I'd say... though both are very much worth reading.
As for the Davidson -- that one remains one of my favorites of his work, along with
The Phoenix and the Mirror....
