Re: X-Men 3

What an ace film!

I saw it yesterday and it was very very good, well tons better than the origional 2 anyway.

It did differ from the comics quite a bit which I didnt like but, hey, you cant have everything.

I LOVE x-men. Can you tell? lol. Oh Wolverine, take me away... No, don't. Scott, I love you... oh wait, but Wolverine is hot... I have not yet seen this movie (I have a young child. Hard to get out at night.) So, what's the overall verdict?

Re: X-Men 3

sweet. I'm on it. THIS weekend! gawd, I hope those tween/teen movie jerks don't get too annoying. They don't even come to the theater to watch, just to throw popcorn, talk and make-out. I mean, some movies are good for making out... but please, people, do NOT distract me from the view of Hugh Jackman. hottie central.

Re: X-Men 3

I loved it. I'm no expert on the comics, but ti seems to me they always balance out the impact of the emotional development with the action stuff, and sometimes movies go too top-heavy on action, or too clumsy on the character. I thought this got the balance - it was exciting and big and popcorn, but at the same time I (almost) shed a little tear at the final Wolverine/Jean Gray scene.

Is it, Kye? It's a bit "dangerous" to say it's a must for every movie fan...

I COMPLETELY disagree. The first two were WAY better than the third one. They tried to introduce way too many characters into the third one, which would have been okay if they would have taken the extra 30 minutes to develop at least some of them. You didn't really get to know the new characters, while some that were already developed were shoved aside.

Did the Nightcrawler actor not want to do the third one? Or was that character just not important to the new director? This is a genuine question, I want to know, I'm not trying to bash on anyone, just curious.

I read somewhere that they cut about 40 some minutes so it wouldn't be as long. If you want devlopment read the novelization of the movie. it explains things better than any movie could.

The actor was willing to do the movie, but they unfortunatly didn't add him to the script. I don't know the exact reason why the actor/charcter wasn't in the movie. The character actually gets a big part in the X-Men game that has/is coming out. The reasoning is that he was somewhere else while the events of the movie took place.

I hope my answers made sense, they sounded right in my head.

Re: X-Men 3

I heard that Alan Cumming (Nightcrawler) and Bryan Singer didn't get along at all during the filming of the second installment, and he was purposefully left out of the mix when Singer was still attached. Don't know the truth to this. It's a shame, though, as Nightcrawler was one of the reasons the second film was so good, I reckon.

I'd just like to mention Halle Berry's hair in the third movie. I wish I could get my hair to look like that.

How is it dangerous? Its Kye's opinion, not everyone has to go and see it, but its a great movie for all movie fans, that's what I think..

Well I guess there are a thousand different type of movie fans. Not all of them will like the movie. That's why I meant.
