Tyrion and Sansa?

Sansa did think he was kind, even though she was afraid to admit it, when she's talking to Lysa. And it seems like she still holds her vows as true even though the marriage wasn't consummated. I dunno, I just thought maybe she (when she grows up a little more) would see through the "ugly dwarf" and notice that his personality, sense of right and wrong, and justice is more like one of her supposed "true knights" than most real knight's are. And I think after all Tyrion's gone through he deserves the type of wife and lady Sansa can be. Or is this just worse than wishful thinking on my part?

I hope its wishful thinking on your part. I only mean that it is to cliched of a happy ending.Beauty and the beast type thing. I would hate to see GRRMhave a happily ever after even though Tyrion out of all the characters would seem to deserve one.

Re: Tyrion and Sansa?

Oh, I already know his ending...after all the dust settles.

Tyrion will claim Casterly Rock, Find himself some nympho maid to marry and spend his days writing his autobiography "Aint Life Neat". Then finds 101 ways to spend the lannister gold.

Dont forget to check out Chapter 12 in his book where Tyrion returns to the vale on little Roberts 18th birthday and locks him in a sky cell for a few days. After all, a Lannister always pays his debts.

Re: Tyrion and Sansa?

Tyrion's happy ending(if such a thing exists) would involve finding Tysha alive and still in love with him and then taking over Casterly Rock.

Tyrion and Sansa would be a lot less cliched than Sandor and Sansa, a pairing many people hope for...

but aren't going to get! Come on, Sansa right now is too shallow to be attracted to Sandor and Sansa as she is becoming will need a political match more than any kind of weird twisted love match with Sandor.

You really think that?

Tyrion murdered his own father. Sure Tywin never showed Tyrion any affection, but then did he really show any of his other children any affection? Tywin only gave Tyrion a top notch education, a job of leading the Clansmen, a job running the country, a job handling the country's finances, a marrigage to a beautiful girl, an inheritance of half the kingdom, and all the money he personally would ever need. The only real stipulation that Tyrion's father ever put on him was to not visit prostitutes... but that was too much for Tyrion, the ingrate.

Of course, the Direwolves, the Starks, the Arryns, Mord, Cersei, Tywin, Littlefinger, Joffrey, the Hound, the Red Viper, and others hurt Tyrion's feelings... boo hoo. Tyrion felt he was not properly rewarded for his defence of King's Landing... yes, he burned Stannis' fleet, but he burned Joff's as well. And Stannis and most of his army had already disembarked and would still have taken the city if Tywin and Mace had not arrived when they did. Oh yeah, Tyrion, the commander, got himself lost in the battle and left the city leaderless... bold strategy.

Tyrion personally ordered the deaths of two men. One in disgust and one to cover his own actions... neither for the good of the kingdom.

By the way, he participated in the gang rape of his first wife.

In an attempt to deal with his unresolved emotions, he murdered his whore and his father.

I whole heartedly agree that Tyrion, if anyone, deserves a happy ending.

PS - Just playing Devil's Advocate... Tyrion is my favorite character.

Re: Tyrion and Sansa?

You had me worried there for a moment Boaz. Tyrion is my favourite as well. Hope he gets to ride a dragon, get all the whores a man could ever want and burns Westeros to the ground.

You are correct and thinking about it further my line about beauty & the beast would seem more fitting in the case of a Sandor and Sansa pairing.

I'm actually hoping Tyrion just doesn't die. Knowing GRRM.

Re: Tyrion and Sansa?

Thanx 4 the thoughts. I was just curious because if the don't reunite what was the point of marring them to begin with. Just to fill pages? Cause Tyrion would still be thought of as Joff's killer since he pointed to him. Sansa would still be under suspicion for vanishing. They never consummated their marriage, so no North for Tyrion, no baby imp. What else would be the point of joining them then? Martin always has a reason doesn't he? I just don't see one here unless they are rejoined latter.

Yes, they may yet be rejoined later but to fight on Dany's side.
