who's get is Galen?

I know that Galen is the bastard brother of Regal, and that they share
a mother, Queen Desire, but can anybody tell me who the father was?

i have a question though...do we know who actually killed Chivalry?

Haven't read this for a while but I think Regal and his mum had something to do with it...

If not then it was an innocent hunting accident if I recall correctly... someone will correct me soon if I'm wrong though...

We are never really told precisely, but we are given the impression that while it was revealed to the public as an accident, there was something much more sinister behind it

At least thats how I read it, someone else might have to confirm or steadfastly deny that for me *looks around*

I did get the impression that Regal had something to do with it though... something in one of the later books about what he knows etc... can't say too much without giving away spoilers.

I was just looking that up on a hobb character list and all it reveals is that he was a bastard child of queen desire...sorry mate, no more info for ya

I think Desire at that point (with perhaps Galen) was behind Chivalry death.

I've never thought of who actually Chivalry. I just accepted his death without questions and it has been some time since I've read Assassin's Apprentice, so I'm not sure.

As for Galen, the details are all a blur to me, but I will never forget when Burrich beat the crap out of him; it was well deserved.

I've got a theory for Both of your Queries.
Regal went away during the time which Chivalry died, if I remember.
Also, Queen Desire probably wasn't happy wih Shrewd, and she was originally pledged to The Duke of Farrow....

The info that I have on Galen's parentage is that he was the son of a weaver and his father was one of Queen Desire's personal servants who followed her from Farrow. This comes from the chapter called "Galen" in the book Assassin's Apprentice. Hope this helps.
