It filters your Private Messages (PMs), RVM45.

If you set your PM options (Edit Options: Messaging & Notification) to Receive Private Messages only from Buddies and Moderators, then they become the only people you can receive PMs from (surprisingly enough!).

Everyone else, if they try to PM you, gets a message to say that this option is on.
