Re: Possibly Starting To Write

Write an outline first. Tell the whole story, start to finish, in no more than a few pages. read a few books on narrative structure and plot. "Plot" by Ansom Dibble is a good place to start. Then re-write your outline. Rinse/Repeat until perfect. This could take some time.

Don't start writing until you know where you're going. Very few writers are capable of pulling off "stream of conciousness" writing and actually produce anything worth reading. Making it up as you go along is a recipie for writing 300 pages then reealising that you don't have a clue whwere to go next.
