I was under the impression it was to protect those that were still on the island, but we have no way of knowing for sure at this point.
Oh, yeah: Weirdest thing seen in the ep- Sayid playing golf. (Don't know why... it just looked like the last thing you'd ever see Sayid doing.)
Funniest thing- Sayid telling the girl in Berlin, when she asked what he does: "I'm a headhunter."
