Re: Fantasycon 2006 - UK

Damn I'm tempted to go. I was planning on going to England around that time anyway. Still might not be easy to arrange things (how to get there). If only I wasn't so lazy to prepare stuff . Agh we'll see exams first now, fun stuff later.

Re: Fantasycon 2006 - UK

I think I'll hopefully be able to attend at least one day.
Do we have any idea of start times for the various days (and also whether it is worth buying tickets in advance or on the door?).

I may come down on the Saturday morning & see if I can stop overnight and go Sunday prior to leaving. Sounds like a plan!

Hey, WS, I might not be able to make FantasyCon, but I am coming to Newcastle later in the year (beginning of December) - fancy meeting up for a beer? Who's round was it anyway?

Mine sadly, which I'm sure is why you mentioned it!

But it'd be great to meet up again, Mark so just let me know when you're up north. We'll see if we can get Pete out and maybe he'll buy the drinks...

[quote=Teresa Edgerton]Strange ... I personally would be thrilled if my husband took me to a major Fantasy convention for my birthday or our anniversary.

Well, for anyone who needs to stay overnight at Fantasycon, the Britannia Hotel where the event is being held is now fully booked - so FantasyCon are recommending the Rutland:

I've just been looking at my travel options, and it looks as if I'm going to book it to arrive late afternoon on the 22nd, then have to leave early on the 24th.

Re: Fantasycon 2006 - UK

Does anyone know what day Neil Gaiman is there? Theres a Saturday 23rd thing, that ends with TBC - which I don't like! ScalemX is trying to convince me to turn up, and the temptation to see Gaiman is growing
