I think Harry might find some portraits of his parents and them being so brilliant will help him out to find the Horcruxes. There is also Dumbledores portrait and there might also be one of Regulus as well (although that I highly doubt).

Also Regulus could be alive because...Sorry I had a good reason and then it dissapeared. Oh yeah thats right because Serius left a will and that altered the thingy that the house had to be passed to the next in line. Even if he is dead then Malfoys mother should have got it or Bellatrix.

Good point - the map is extremely powerful magic: no-one can conceal their true identity from the map, even using PolyJuice or Animagus techniques. Even Dumbledore appeared to be fooled by Barty Crouch Jnr in GOF, so arguably the map is more powerful than him in that respect...!

I'm happy to see others have come to a similar conclusion as I have... that Dumbledore's "please" was a request for Snape to hurry up and kill him... which also explains why Snape was so angry when Harry was calling him a coward, since it was indeed hard to kill Dumbledore, the only guy who really trusted him.

And of course Dumbledore's death was inevitable... the mentors always die.

Ahhhhh they are ghosts, they are still some how on earth. Dumbledore is really dead and gone to wherever dead people go.

I just reread the whole series to see if my far fetched theory was right and I am pretty sure it is. Although that doesnt make me post it up here...I might already have done some of it anyway.
